The Cooper Family

OVERVIEW

The Coopers wanted a complete overhaul of the carpark area of their recently purchased home to provide new thresholds to the garden doors, new paths running along the conservatory and linking the terrace and steps with the annex; plus two new terraces to provide areas to sit at tables to entertain friends and family, all laid in Indian sandstone. A small pond and water feature was remodelled and incorporated into the larger of the two terraces. Two new planters flank the steps with Irish Yews, built with low-level Cotswold stone walls and capped with sandstone slabs provide further seating and flank the steps sweeping down onto the main lawn.

The carpark is higher than the main part of the garden, which needed a separating retaining wall and steps to delineate the two areas; beautifully stocked mixed borders of perennials completed the hard landscaping.
