The Binders
OVERVIEW
The Binders had embarked on a major landscaping project to create an entirely new garden around their Wiltshire farmhouse.
They wanted to transform the old farmyard surrounding their house into a beautiful, open, low maintenance garden. With the design lead from Jonnie Wake of Landmark Gardens, and in collaboration with Ed Ambler gardens the entire site was re-landscaped, with walls removed/moved/rebuild or replaced and new steps, terraces, paths, lawns, new lawns and wild-flower lawns, an orchard, perennial planting borders, driveway and parking areas installed.
Extensive drainage was installed before the finishing phases of the build to ensure years of flooding from the road and adjoining field was alleviated for the first time in generations, using a cattle grid and an extensive system of land drains beneath the lawns, carpark and driveway.
New high walls and gateway provide privacy to the enclosed front garden.
